Welcome to Pediatric Eye Clinic with your Dr. Pedro Gómez. We are a highly specialized private clinic with more than 30 years of experience in ocular health. Dr. Gómez has been practicing optometry for more than 30 years, graduated from the University of Puerto Rico and the Interamerican University School of Optometry, in Puerto Rico and Texas.
Astigmatism is a common vision condition that causes blurred vision. This occurs when the cornea (the clear front part of the eye) is irregularly shaped or sometimes due to the curvature of the lens inside the eye.
Blepharitis appears when the small oil glands of the inner eyelid become inflamed. It usually occurs along with other skin conditions or allergies.

This occurs because the eye does not produce the necessary amount of tears to maintain good hydration and lubrication, or the tears are of poor quality.
Myopia is a refractive problem that occurs when the patient perceives distant objects blurred.

A chalazion is a lump that forms on the upper or lower eyelid. It appears as a result of an accumulation of fat secretion in the meibomian glands. These glands are located on the edge of the eyelids.
